Message from IQAC Co-ordinator :

GREETINGS!

As an accreditation quality sustenance measure, as prescribed by the NBA and NAAC,, the college established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of  Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar, in 2015. The IQAC being an integral part of the college, works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in different aspects of the functioning of the college.

            The IQAC assures the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, Management, employers, funding agencies and society , the accountability and transparency in the quality management system of the institution and its concern for ensuring quality of education being imparted.

            Internal Quality Assurance System is a step towards Excellence. The IQAC of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar, organizes orientation programmes for faculty, administrative staff and the students. It conducts open forum to provide inter face between students and officials of the college. It conducts staff assessment and exit survey to provide valuable feedback for quality sustenance and improvement in teaching, learning, evaluation and research experiences in the college. It documents and reports various activities of the college for various higher education requirements. A continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities to assure conducive and enabling environment for teaching, learning, evaluation and research. Through all these measures, the IQAC happens to be one of the important components of the college which ensures quality and continuous improvement in all the functions of the college.

Vision

To develop systematic Quality processes in the college for evolving, enhancing and sustaining excellence in its academic and administrative practices and to set benchmarks for their periodic evaluation.

Mission

1 .To arrange for periodic assessment and accreditation of the institute specific academic programmes and projects.
2.To stimulate academic environment for promotion of quality of teaching –learning and research in the institute.
3.To encourage self-evaluation, accountability, autonomy and innovations in the institute.
4.To undertake quality-related research studies, consultancy and training programmes, and to collaborate with all stakeholders of the institute for quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance.

Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment for imparting quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
Arranging for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
Organizing inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality.
Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NBA, to be submitted to NBA.
